Due to its variegated territory ad climate Le Marche offers a wide variety of farm and sea products, organic agriculture is widely practiced throughout the region and traditional productions are being re-discovered and used for a diversified gastronomy deeply rooted into traditions but also interestingly innovative. During the months of September and October Urbino hosts “Voglie d’Autunno”: various events dedicated to local produce and preserving the biodiversity. The DOC wines of Le Marche are increasingly popular and their quality has reached outstanding levels. Some good wineries in the area offer wine tasting. Visit the official Le Marche wine page.

The Truffle is one of the most outstanding productions of this area and Acqualagna prides itself of providing truffles all year long, but the king of truffles is the White Truffle that is available in October and November. In October we arrange truffle hunting walks with our neighbour Giovanni and his dog. During the weekends of October and the first weekend of November the National Fairs of the White Truffle are held in Acqualagna and Sant’Angelo in Vado. During summer and autumn almost every village in the area has its own sagra or feast, you’ll find further information at the Locanda.
